The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for contributing to the company’s goals of higher sales, lower operating costs, and high customer satisfaction through improving the processes and systems related to Sales forecast demand in order to drive the correct requirements for Purchasing and Production. The qualified individual is responsible for determining the desired inventory levels from the finished goods down to the raw materials.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Qualifications:A four-year business degree, or equivalent in experienceA Minimum of 5 years related job experience (material analysis, project management, sales forecast preferred)Sound knowledge of Supply Chain processes including manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment processesStrong negotiation skills with the ability to reason and influence at all levelsStrong problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities and diverse functional goalsAccuracy in data manipulation, and entryExtensive experience with spreadsheet manipulation and analysisProficiency in MS office applicationsDesired Qualifications:APICS certification (CPIM certified in Production and Inventory ManagementExperience in cultural environments US and MexicoSpanish languageESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Manages Demand Planning Team in order to drive the Sales requirements into the ERP.Execute the Forecasting Sales Plan in the ERP system along with Senior Demand Planning Analyst, making sure that Sales and Product Management’s input has been taken into account.Analyze, develop, and implement processes and procedures as they apply to the Demand Planning function and its dealings with other departments. Integrate other overall company business processes to improve effectiveness.Promote intra and intercompany communication to obtain better and more timely forecast and demand information with the goal of improving the overall velocity of the Materials Planning processes, reducing costs and reducing waste.Create a demand forecast plan at predetermined intervals based on sales history through the usage of a forecasting software tool.Manage and execute Sales and Operations Monthly Meeting, obtaining information from each area and creating the monthly actions and minutes.Updating Forecasting Software Monthly in order to carry new Sales Demand and execute Forecast changes in the ERP systemCollect and organize KPI’s, data needed for the Sales and Operations Process meeting.Analyze, verify, and integrate into the forecast plan projects specific data and/or extraordinary demand input provided by Product Management and Sales.Collaborate with Product Management and Sales to understand market and customer requirements and balance these requirements with financial and operational company goals.Maintain open communication, understand, and work with Purchasing and Production to ensure material flow and help meet functional KPI’s.Participate in Product Development, Engineering, and Sourcing projects as they relate to materials plan to ensure proper material order and replenishment.Review and analyze exception reports to identify possible planning parameter changes required for specific finished goods and raw materials.Prepare reports related to forecast and inventory measurements to Management. Reports may include forecast accuracy, inventory turns, project specific material data, usage analysis, etc...Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems.Perform Annual Evaluations for direct reports.Perform other related duties as assigned
