About The Position

If you're passionate about your craft and looking for an opportunity to make meaningful contributions toward our mission, we’d love to have you join us! As a Sr. Data Analyst, you’ll be joining a team of Data Operations Specialists and Engineers to review and enhance Altruist brokerage data to ensure accuracy and consistency. Additionally, you’ll support key operational responsibilities such as ensuring our data is compatible with our third party custodial integrations and handling data corrections, as needed.

What You’ll Do

Handle escalated data operations requests during US Exchange Market HoursCreate and maintain data monitors, dashboards and internal tooling that enable automated and efficient reports and workflows for the Data Operations TeamUpdate dimensional table mappings for vendor data transformed to the Altruist canonical modelPerform root cause analysis and impact assessment for data issues, writing custom SQL scripts to provide corrections for all impacted accounts when necessaryInvestigate and correct issues identified through data operations monitors, tools and break reportsUnderstand the Data Platform and all dependencies such that data processes can be rerun when necessary to apply data correctionsWork with our Support Teams to troubleshoot and correct any data issues that impact the dependent components and/or teams.Implement historic data corrections that are aligned with the intended actions taken in the books and records system and are compatible with performance reporting and billingDevelop and maintain documentation on data operations processes

What You’ll Bring

3+ years working in the financial industry in a data analyst role that utilizes intermediate to advanced SQLExperience troubleshooting investment returns (TWR/IRR), account reconciliation, cost basis issues, discrepancies with holdings, corporate action processing and security pricing issuesExcellent data analysis and problem solving skillsKeen eye for detailEffective collaboration and communication skills to work as part of a cross functional team

Experience building internal tools with applications such as RetoolExperience working with Data Warehouses such as SnowflakeExperience with one or more programming languages such as JavascriptExperience writing scripts or store procedures to automate workflowsExperience with alerting and monitoring tools such as Monte Carlo and DataDogPrior experience working at a startup

San Francisco, CA salary range

$124,000—$158,000 USD

Total compensation includes a competitive benefits package along with equity in the form of Stock Options (ISOs).
