Core Responsibilities:
Read and interpret technical drawings or CAD models to determine optimal programming processes.
Utilize computer software to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly.
Implement setup sheets for Shop Floor Setup using Microsoft Office tools.
Optimize existing programs to reduce cycle times and enhance quality.
Collaborate with Management, Engineering, Setup Techs, and Machinist Operators on new job launches and continuous improvement activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve machining process problems as they arise.
Conduct quality control tests during manufacturing stages and on final products in collaboration with other team members.
Train teammates on machine operation procedures as needed.
Interpret CMM layout reports to adjust or resolve CNC program issues.
Assist Engineering/Quoting as required.
Be available to work weekends and overtime as needed.
Qualifications:
Job Qualifications:
Prior experience setting up, programming, and running CNC machines, including VMC, HMC, and Lathe machining centers.
Proficiency in programming using Mastercam (5 or more years as a full-time programmer required).
Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor is advantageous.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Experience with fixture/work holding design is a plus.
Understanding of different tooling types, speeds, and feeds.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently while following directions.
Capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 30 pounds.
Willingness to work overtime and any shift as required.
Ability to assist team leaders, record production daily, and identify non-conforming products.
Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and self-motivation.
