Description of PositionLouisiana Christian University has a long tradition of excellence in preparing students for graduate and professional schools. The BS in Biological Sciences and in Applied Biology are foundational degree programs for preparing graduates for medical, dental, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and other professional schools. LCU’s Division of Natural Sciences / Mathematics / Computer Science is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position to teach Biology coursework as part of these degree programs.Applicants will need to demonstrate teaching competencies in both lecture and laboratory courses that will include the candidate’s specialty area as well as other specific needs in the department. Courses are delivered in face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats. The position also requires that the faculty member be available for advising of students and service on university committees. Faculty development through scholarship activities including travel and research with undergraduates is strongly encouraged and funding is available through an endowment.The successful candidate will acknowledge a life calling to liberal arts education at a Christ-Centered University with this mission:
