Job Description:
Qualified candidates will be innovative, analytical, and excited to further space exploration through their work on practical and impactful projects. Candidates are expected to have experience and be proficient with:
Development and testing of planetary rover simulations and/or safety critical embedded flight software
Terrain relative navigation and vision navigation systems
Developing software in the loop and hardware in the loop test beds and tooling
Automated software testing
Maintaining software products required for test, training and operation
We are seeking exceptional individuals of all skill levels with a strong desire to further space exploration, regardless of background.
Required:
Proficient in C++11 or later and Python
Experience with modern software development tools and processes
Experience with configuration management and dev ops
U.S. Citizen (or Permanent Resident) is required due to the nature of the work
BS/MS/PhD in Engineering, Computer Science or similar degree from accredited universities
5+ years experience in a similar role
Other Useful Skills (not required for every position):
Experience with hardware/software integration
Experience with embedded Linux operating systems
Experience with NASA Trick simulation framework, NASA JEOD, NASA GUNNS, JPL DARTs and ROAMS, and other NASA simulation tools
Experience in supporting NASA and other government sector contracts
