Senior Data EngineerThe Role
As a Senior Data Engineer supporting Workplace Investing (WI) - Healthcare Group (HCG), youare deeply entrenched in building data infrastructure, with a passion for using tools andframeworks to guide the development of stable, robust, and resilient data environments thatbest serve our business.In an Agile structure you work closely with the Product Owner, Data Analysts, Data Modelers,and other Data Engineers assigned to squads across product areas to build scalable, flexible,and detailed data solutions that will improve the WI-HCG product offerings and speed time tomarket. You help to drive conformance to the WI-HCG data strategy and Enterprise DataTaxonomy.You collaborate with other Data Engineers to establish and continually revisit standards for yourIT Chapter. You influence strategic designs and build solutions to help scale our business. Youare committed to staying hands-on, developing your own expertise and knowledge to bring thelatest thinking to your role and to empower others with that knowledge.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
? B.S. degree in math, statistics, computer science, or equivalent technical field.? 6+ years of experience in designing and delivering data lake, data warehouses andreporting platforms.? Strong database knowledge and proven experience with data analysis as well asworking familiarity with a variety of databases.? Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.? Fluent in SQL, Python, and at least one analytic tool such as OBIEE, Power BI, orTableau is required.? Solid experience with cloud data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift,BigQuery, Synapse, Databricks, etc.? Solid experience with Data warehousing, Extract, Transform & Load development isrequired.? Data Modeling skills and experience with relational and dimension models is required.? Experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.? Experience in DevSecOps standard and tools like Jenkins Core and GitHub.? Experience with API architecture design and development.? Solid experience working in a reciprocal, team-based environment with a constant focuson learning, mentoring, and encouraging others.? Proven understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, andalgorithms to ensure alignment to data engineering methodologies.? Experience building data pipelines and architectures and optimizing data sets.? Experience of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from multiple largedatasets.
? Proven understanding of modern data engineering principles.? Effective communication and influencing skills to integrate into an inclusive culture.? Enthusiastic desire to learn new skills and emerging technologies/industry trendsquickly.? Experience working with healthcare benefit or financial data is a plus.The Value You Deliver?
