Job Overview
The Information Systems Security Manager will be a key member of our IT team and will play a critical role in achieving the organization’s IT security goals and reducing overall organizational risk. The ISSM will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and may have a small team of IT professionals to manage.
Responsibilities:
Lead Cybersecurity Strategy Development
Acquire and manage the necessary resources, including leadership support, financial resources, and key security personnel, to support information technology (IT) security goals and objectives and reduce overall organizational risk.
Advise senior management (e.g., CEO, CFO) on risk levels and security posture.
Advise senior management of changes in requirements, technologies, or other areas affecting the organization's cybersecurity posture.
Recommend policy and coordinate review and approval.
Ensure Cybersecurity Compliance
Assure successful implementation and functionality of security requirements and appropriate information technology (IT) policies and procedures that are consistent with the organization's mission and goals.
Support necessary compliance activities (e.g., ensure that system security configuration guidelines are followed, compliance monitoring occurs).
Continuously validate the organization against policies/guidelines/procedures/regulations/laws to ensure compliance.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the enterprise’s cybersecurity safeguards to ensure they provide the intended level of protection
Lead Organizations Cybersecurity Efforts
Lead and align information technology (IT) security priorities with the security strategy.
Lead and oversee information security budget, staffing, and contracting.
Communicate the value of information technology (IT) security throughout all levels of the organization stakeholders.
Qualifications:
A BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science is strongly preferred.
Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of CMMC requirements and network security architecture concepts including topology, protocols, components, and principles.
Proven experience in cybersecurity planning, auditing, and management.
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Experience in defense industry manufacturing or industrial sectors is highly desirable.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
