Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse to join our dynamic team. As a PICU Nurse at the hospital, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, family-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients. You will work in a challenging yet supportive environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our young patients.

Responsibilities:

Clinical Excellence:

Provide expert nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU, utilizing your advanced knowledge and skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

Patient Advocacy:

Serve as an advocate for pediatric patients and their families, ensuring their unique physical and emotional needs are met with empathy and understanding.

Collaborative Teamwork:

Work collaboratively with physicians, respiratory therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to the individual needs of each patient.

Critical Thinking:

Demonstrate exceptional critical thinking skills to assess and respond promptly to changes in the patient's condition, providing timely and effective interventions.

Family-Centered Care:

Foster a supportive and caring environment for families, keeping them informed and involved in the care of their child, and offering emotional support during challenging times.

Professional Development:

Stay current with the latest advancements in pediatric critical care through ongoing education and training opportunities, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent degree.

Current California RN license.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

Minimum of [2years] of experience in pediatric intensive care.
