Responsibilities1. Screens pap smears and non-gynecological slides and reports results according to establishedprotocol.2. Reviews patient history in association with screening cytology slides.3. Documents workload and submits weekly reports for review. Reviews discrepant cases withPathologist to improve and provide quality patient care.4. Maintains a False Negative Proportion (FNP) of ± 1-2% of the lab average but does not exceed a5% overall FNP.5. Maintains an 80-100% Diagnostic Correlation with the Pathologist.6. Maintains gyn statistical analysis rates of ± 5% as compared to the laboratory's overall rates.7. Maintains individual workload limit as set forth by the supervisor/director, derived from theemployee's 6 month performance appraisal.8. Completes special assignments as designated by the supervisor in a timely and professionalmanner.9. Assists with Fine Needle Aspiration(FNA) adequacy assessments throughout various procedureareas in the hospital.
Submission Requirements2 years of CytoTech experienceMust be CT-ASCP, or, CT-IAC certifiedtravel experience strongly encouragedMUST have a Bachelor's OR Master's degree in a Science related field
