Our client is seeking an experienced innovative Regional Sales Manager to join their Foodservice division. The position covers the Northeastern U.S.

The Regional Sales Manager-Foodservice is responsible for management and development of operators, distributors, and brokers in their defined geography.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Achieve sales target for assigned markets, meet or exceed sales budgetIdentify cultivate and secure new business with new operators, through existing operator penetration, and distributor developmentEffectively manage existing and prospective operator relationships across a variety of roles with influence in, or direct responsibility for, decisions related to company productsConduct quarterly business reviews to ensure operator and company alignment with evolution of operator business, menu development and changes, and that contract terms and conditions are being metRegularly review performance for assigned Brokers and Distributors.Establish regular communication and meeting cadence to review performance, address mutual opportunities for growth, and establish next steps with deliverables and target datesWork cross-functionally to secure new business, penetrate existing accounts and increase account retentionWork with operators to submit forecasts including needed updates to ensure accuracy in business planningRegular review of sales reporting to identify and address business trendsManage customer pricing including rebates and accrualsBe an avid student of the industry staying current on market activity, product knowledge and competitive landscapeDrive strategic sales growthMust have a passion for food, customer service, and strong work ethic that promotes a positive company image, and work collaboratively with both internal and external customersQualifications and Requirements:

5+ years sales experience in the Foodservice Industry with a demonstrated track record of success in the areas including:

Foodservice DistributionManaging Broker NetworksSelling Fresh Food, perishables, produce, and fresh beverage productsSelling manufacturer label, private label, and proprietary products

In-depth-knowledge of selling strategies and methods3+ years effectively using a CRM to manage sales pipeline and related activitiesSelf-starter with strong problem-solving, process management, communication, and relationship building skillsBachelor's Degree or equivalent experienceStrong working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to work cross-functionally and as a strong contributor within functional areaExcellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail50% travel requiredBonus potentialMedical, Dental, and Life Insurance401(k)VacationCar AllowanceCompany credit card for travel expensesPhone Allowance
