Power Delivery Team Leader

or

Project Manager

with a sales focus to help grow our power delivery business and lead projects in DEA's Colorado Area. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships in the power delivery industry, managing all aspects of power delivery projects, and developing and leading multi-disciplinary project teams. In addition, the successful candidate will establish and maintain new and existing client relationships, develop a strong understanding of clients' needs, and build local teams and/or leverage resources across the company to deliver projects. The responsibilities for this role will be diverse and will include participating in both business development activities and project management.

This hybrid-friendly position is based in DEA's Denver Office and includes growth opportunities for professional advancement, leadership, and increased responsibility.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Exemplify DEA's Cultural Drivers internally and externallyServe as a pursuit champion and project manager for power delivery projectsProvide leadership and mentoring to project teamsDevelop the project understanding, approach, and work planSupport proposal efforts for new projectsManage the scope of services, schedule, and budget including project setup, execution, change management, and closeoutManage communications among the project team and clientPromote effective team working relationshipsAttain or exceed project profitability expectationsMaintain the technical quality of the workImplement the project QA/QC planManage status reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable and unbilled for each projectAdhere to firmwide tools, processes, and policies including project accounting, workload planning, revenue forecasting, contracting, and quality requirementsSome travel for business development and project execution may be required

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in civil or electrical engineering (or closely related field)Seven (7) + years of applicable industry experience working on substation, transmission, or studies projectsFour (4) + years of relevant project management experienceDemonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships and generate new salesStrong understanding of substation or transmission system design, construction, and commissioningDemonstrated proficiency with project management processes and tools including CPM scheduling, budget analysis and controls, change management, and team managementProficient with Microsoft OfficeStrong leadership, written and oral communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Relationships and project experience with Bonneville Power AdministrationSeven (7) + years of project management experienceThree (3) + years of business development experience with power utility clientsExperience working with power utilities in Oregon and Southwest WashingtonExperience working in an A&E consulting firmProject Management Professional Certification (PMP)Professional Engineer license (PE)
