Database Developer

As a Data Engineer, you will guide the business on how to ingest, store, process, analyze, explore, and visualize data on the AWS Cloud Platform. You will work on data migrations and transformational projects, and with developers to design large-scale data processing systems, develop data pipelines optimized for scaling, and troubleshoot potential platform issues.

The Team

Together with the team you will support implementation of AWS Cloud products through: architecture guidance, best practices, data migration, capacity planning, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring and much more.

The cloud platform team looks to build out next-generation hybrid data platform by leveraging new technologies and techniques to maximize the value out of data assets and empower employees to innovate.

The Expertise You HaveBA/BS degree in Computer Science, database or related technical field, or equivalent practical experienceExperience with relational databases, primarily Oracle, but including Postgres, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL ServerExperience in writing software in one or more languages such as Java, C++, Python, Perl, Go and/or JavaScriptExperience with Redshift, S3, Kinesis, Aurora, DynamoDB, Elastic Search, Data Dog, Redis, Lambda, FirehoseExperience managing internal or client-facing projects to completion; experience troubleshooting clients' technical issues; experience working with engineering teams, sales, services, and customersThe Skills You Bring

Experience working with data warehouses, including data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments.Experience architecting, developing software, or internet scale production-grade Big Data solutions in virtualized environments such as Amazon Web Services, Azure and AWS Cloud Platform.Experience working with cloud data platforms, such as SnowflakeExperience with Apache Airflow DAG creation and deploymentThe Value You Deliver

Identify and respond to data needs for business users to use the analytics environmentWork with data architects to design and implement solutions to ingest, transform, connect, store and expose data to range of usersIncorporate new data sources by building pipelines for automated and semi-automated data ingestion and data refreshMaintain existing scripts and develop new scripts in SQL, Python, and other languages as appropriate to parse, clean, transform, and load dataDevelop and implement tests to ensure data quality and proper governance across all integrated datasets

Required Skills : Database development (modifying tables, objects, schemas), Data validation and aggregation, AWS data services and database (i.e. Kinesis, Aurora), Snowflake warehouse, Python, and SQL (query performance tuning).Basic Qualification :
