Part-time Duties:
Serve as the director and musician for regularly scheduled and special services, ensuring musical selections align with the worship style and Christian seasons.
Discuss and align musical selections with the Contemporary Worship Service Chaplain and/or the JBER Senior Protestant Chaplain.
Conduct weekly choir/worship team rehearsals.
Create and manage worship slides, including song titles, credits, copyright notices, and CCLI number.
Coordinate with the worship team to adjust the tempo and style to enhance congregational participation.
Ensure all musical equipment is properly stored and maintained.
Requirements:
Degree in music from an accredited institution preferred; minimum of four years of experience in a Protestant worship music program may be substituted.
Knowledge of Protestant liturgy and contemporary Christian music; ability to lead worship while playing an instrument (piano or acoustic guitar).
Previous experience in a Protestant military chapel setting preferred.
Ability to coordinate music activities and manage all aspects of worship service music.
