Job Description:
At Regions, the Enterprise Solutions Architect oversees multiple dimensions of assigned applications and/or capabilities including but not limited to stability, life cycle management, version control, design and development of technology solutions, mapping of business requirements to capability oriented technical requirements, and ensuring Technology solutions to business needs are developed in accordance with the enterprise architectural roadmap, guidelines, and standards.
Primary ResponsibilitiesManages end to end from conception, through delivery, into production of solution architecturesPartners with business and technology subject-matter experts to elicit and translate business requirements into technological solutionsLeads the design and modeling of tactical architectures for delivery, development, and support of projectsDesigns both the physical and logical components of solution architectures that will deliver a positive business outcomeCollaborates with other domain architects to provide a consensus based scalable and adaptable architectural solutionOversees technical analysis and design capabilitiesFacilitates technology design workshops for emerging technologiesValidates designs produced by third party vendors wishing to sell solutions to the organizationAligns Information Technology strategy and planning with the company's business goals and objectivesPromotes the use of a shared infrastructure and application roadmap to reduce costs and improve how information flowsCirculates roadmaps to align Information Technology priorities with business partner requirements and strategiesBuilds and maintains technical trusted advisor relationships with influential technical decision makers within Technology
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field and (5) years of solutions architecture experienceOr a High School Diploma/GED and nine (9) years of solutions architecture experienceExperience of N-tier architectures and complex design architecturesExperience with technical, application, and information architecture delivery techniques and methodologiesExperience with Agile methods
Certifications/LicensuresCertifications in the technology domain of the enterprise
Skills and CompetenciesAbility to adapt to new technologies and learn quicklyAn understanding of, and ability to use, design patterns to steer business requirements into enterprise wide technical strategiesAwareness and ability to document designs using internal and external notational standards (Business Process Model and Notation , Unified Modeling Language )Knowledge of security design techniquesUnderstanding the technology of the organization, e.g. Middleware, .NET, Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), Oracle, etc.
Working knowledge of modern Operating Systems (Linux/Windows), Networking, Servers/Mainframe, Secure Coding Practices, Development Environments (Java/.Net), Databases (DB2/Oracle/SQL Server)
Special skills:Looking for Solution Architect with ability to be a hands on engineer for POC efforts, can collaborate with enterprise architecture team and lead design direction of Mobile Banking Application (Android, iOS
