Requirements for Ultrasound Technologist:
Associate degree or certification in diagnostic medical sonography or related field
RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification or equivalent
Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and related technology
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association .
Key Duties Include:
Preparing patients for ultrasound examinations, addressing any concerns or inquiries they may have
Ensuring proper alignment and exposure by positioning patients and equipment accordingly
Operating ultrasound equipment proficiently to generate high-quality images, adjusting settings as necessary for optimal results
Monitoring patient well-being throughout the procedure to guarantee safety and comfort
Reviewing and processing images to uphold quality standards
Collaborating with physicians and medical staff to ensure adherence to diagnostic protocols
