Frontend Developer - Expert Level

Title- Frontend Developer - Expert Level Location- Oakland, CA or Alpharetta, GA Here is Manager's expectation: Should Understand Agile and worked in scaled Agile framework Expect level programming experience in UI Technologies- Javascript programming. Candidate will be 80% coding and 20% involved with teams. Expertise level in React and react libraries. Node JS - preferred as full stack on backend. HTML - should be proficient in HTML. CSS- should be proficient in CSS. Should come with Accessibility experience- Accessibility is a concept folks who can write the HTML in a particular way, kind of pattern. Must have min 10 years of strong Frontend Development experience. Interviews - Interviews will be held and evaluated on coding, system design and problem-solving questions. 3 Rounds- 2 technical coding round and 1 manager round. You will use industry best practices and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams of product managers, architects, software engineers, test automation engineers and DevOps in an Agile setup. Champion writing highest quality code with utmost attention to scalability, security and performance and with an end-to-end mindset from conception to delivery and production support, owning specifications, quality, release deployments and monitoring of production health. Produce complete, simple, and readable technical documentation for everything developed and create a team culture of creating/maintaining useful documentation. Drive code-reviews, provide technical guidance and mentor software engineers. Collaborate closely with Engineering leadership, Product Managers, Designers, QA and other teams and business units to define, prioritize, sequence and scope business and functional requirements and drive results Scope effort, identify risks and clearly communicate trade-offs with team members and other stakeholders Foresee and assess impact assessment of product (hardware, software) upgrades Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects Support and collaborate with other Engineers through evaluation, design analysis, and development phases Maintain knowledge, ensure competency and compliance with policies and procedures, to be the technical expert while collaborating with cross-functional teams About The Team We (Digital Member Experience team) are responsible for making Delta Dental of California's new Member Self Service and Provider Directory search experience delightful. Job Requirements BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience. 5 years of experience designing and developing secure consumer-facing responsive, accessible user experiences and interfaces for web applications. Experience with all phases of software development. You have been there and done it, multiple times Expert level knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Responsive web design, Accessibility (WCAG 2.0 AA) Expert level knowledge of JavaScript Programming . 2 years of extensive experience in CSS preprocessors like Sass or Less . 2 years of experience building responsive Single Page Web Applications. 2 years of extensive experience building production application with Node.js 2 years of experience working with popular JavaScript tools and Frameworks (like Gulp/Webpack, ejs/handlebar, Angular.js, or React/Redux or Ember). ReactJS is preferred . Good understanding of design principles to build a scalable application. Advocate, advise, and implement - user-centered design, mobile first methodology, progressive enhancement and graceful degradation, accessibility, SEO, responsive design, and website performance. Proficient with writing unit test case using any of the testing framework like Jest, Enzyme, Jasmine etc. Proficiency with Chrome and/or other browser Developer Tools. Proficiency with Git/Github or other distributed version control systems. Experience with Scrum, Agile Process Nice to have Contributions to open-source projects. Experience with Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. Experience with Linux environment & container technology such as docker. Experience with logging tools like Splunk or ELK. Experience with distributed cache like Redis. Experience with Cloud (like Azure, AWS, GCP)
