Title: Technical Data Analyst
Contract: 12 months
Location: Peoria, IL (Hybrid role)
Job Overview:
As a Technical Data Analyst, you will have the opportunity to contribute to towards Aftermarket Profit, while strengthening your knowledge of supply management, aftermarket sales and financial management. This position will be responsible for the detailed analysis in electrical and hydraulic component family aftermarket profit improvement projects, as well as identifying and validating cost improvement projects that enable Components & System Profit Improvement team to deliver profit improvements aligned with Product Group Aftermarket Profit (OPACC-C) commitments.
This position will be a diverse role, working with component engineering, pricing, purchasing and analytical tool development team to support major aftermarket component categorization, rationalization and launch profit improvement projects that will contribute to the company's OPACC-C goals. In this role, you would become an integral part of a team focused on continuous improvement and driving towards delivering the best value solutions to our product group clients.
Successful candidates will have strong team collaborative capability, good analytic skills, basic electrical and hydraulic component knowledge, the ability to learn quickly, and be a positive agent for change.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Actively participate in multi-disciplinary team(s) through the evaluation, categorization and rationalization of electrical and hydraulic component families and identification & validation of profit improvement ideas to meet profit improvement goals.Analyze cost, price, supplier and engineering data to rationalize into categories, utilize regression analysis to identify outliers and investigate opportunities for creating profit improvement projects.Collaborate with Component Engineers, Pricing Analysts, and Purchasing to achieve section goals.Identify ideas and provide input for the development of tools and processes to enhance profit improvement analysisRequired Skills:
Bachelors degree or higher in an accredited Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, Business, Analytics or similar field, or Associate's degree with relative experience.Basic mechanical aptitude1 to 2 years of technical related experience or Internships & School Projects for recent graduates.Demonstrated analytical skills that can identify data relationships, trends and outliersSkilled in use of Microsoft Excel
Must be able to write basic formulas, do vlookups, and create pivot tables
Proven team collaboration and interpersonal skillsTop Candidates Will Also Have:
Self-starter with strong technical skillsAbility to develop good working relationships with others across the organizationEngineering, purchasing, business resources or pricing system experience
