To enlarge the view, scroll down to the bottom of the salary chart and "download the document."The Director, Professional Development & Resources will provide leadership and direction to the district's systems for teaching and learning through professional development and resources for teachers, parents, and students, leading to instructional improvement.

Essential Duties:Lead a team to develop and implement a plan for accessing, implementing, and sustaining high-quality professional development to support student learning, teacher and leader needs, and system goals.Budget resources (funding, time, people, technology, etc.) appropriately to achieve district priorities, and support and monitor local, state, and federal guidelines, rules, and procedures for effective and appropriate management of funds.Ensure the development of high quality professional learning opportunities for professional growth in district-level and school-level staff, particularly teacher leaders.Promote a performance culture that aligns structures and supports that improve classroom instruction and student learning outcomes.Develop, implement, and monitor processes for the acquisition and distribution of district-adopted resources and instructional materials.In alignment with policy, negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery.Lead and support school and district leaders as they serve as effective leaders of instruction and learning.In collaboration with other divisions, develop, implement, and ensure resources are inventoried, maintained, and replaced as needed.Ensure on-going professional relationships and communication systems with outside partners to facilitate effective implementation, utilization, and alignment of resources.Keep abreast of federal and state laws and policies related to instruction and learning, and establish procedures to ensure required compliance of these laws and practices.Attend meetings and trainings as required.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications :

Minimum of a Master's degree, required; Georgia Leadership Certification, required.Prior building-level and/or district office experience preferred.Ability to work well with teachers, school administrative teams, and district office leadership.Must possess a proven track record of building and maintaining strong professional relationships.Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.Ability to be present at the physical worksite.Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.Must perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.
