JOB DESCRIPTION: Works as part of an agile team to design, implement and revise software applications. Writes sleek, performant code in a manner consistent with the team's style and best practices. Collaborates with clients and stakeholders in the development of requirements. Stays abreast of the "state of the art" through self and group study. Acts as a mentor to junior staff.

Four years of web application development experience with a Java technology stack. Experience with client-side/front-end development. Experience with relational databases. Experience with SOA and integration between systems. Experience collaborating on software via version control. Understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design principles and of N-tier application architecture, and software design patterns.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of best practices, development methodologies (particularly Agile) & standardsProven experience in web application architecture, solution design, and development using best practices and patterns. Experience with REST and SOAP APIs, JavaScript (prefer React & TypeScript), JSON, XML, HTML, CSSStrong technical background in Java technology stack and its eco-systems including the common open source frameworks, core Java, JMS, JDBC, JPA, Spring, GWT, othersRelational database experience (Oracle preferred). Knowledgeable with Document (NoSQL) &/or Graph databases a plusExperience in DevOps with ability to instrument pipeline automation and CI/CDKnowledgeable with microservices, API gateways, Open API a plusKnowledgeable about AWS-based cloud development technologies and trends a plusDemonstrate ability to coach, inspire and mentor junior software engineersExperience working on different projects simultaneously, and capable of cultivating collaborationExcellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills with a proven ability interacting with all levels of management, stakeholders, support personnel, and customers
