Position: Lead Product OwnerLocation: Waltham, MA or Northborough, MA (Hybrid on-site)Duration: 6+ months
Position Description:
The Lead Product Owner is responsible for converting the product vision and strategy as agreed upon by the Product Manager into features and user stories that will be utilized by the development team. The Product Owner will work closely with Product Managers, Strategic Directors, Customers, and other Product Owners to both understand and contribute to the overall product strategy.
Responsibilities :Deep understanding of Agile frameworks and Lean principlesImplementation of the Scaled Agile FrameworkEnsure the correct use of scrum processContribute to Iteration (sprint) PlanningDrive iteration goals via user story prioritizationLeads Program Backlog refinement to decompose/estimate storiesPreparation for Program Increment PlanningDefine/Write User StoriesDefine/Write Acceptance CriteriaAccept user stories as doneDefine definition of doneDefine sprint goalsPrioritize Team Backlog (user stories)Ensure sprint work, user stories, are locked down after the start of a sprintParticipate in system demosFacilitate user story refinement & solution demoCommunicate to key stakeholders regarding product vision and progressParticipate in team retrospectivesManage and communicate Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)Qualifications:
3+ years of agile Product Owner experience with methods such as Scrum, Lean, Kanban or SAFeStrong analytical skillsAbility to work both independently and in various team settingsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional interpersonal and presentation skillsTech savvy with the ability to make sound business recommendationsBS in a relevant discipline or, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceExperience working with JIRA and JIRA AlignUnderstanding of the business value of development decisions and how they affect the lifecycle of the productAbility to think both about short-term action and longer-term strategyCertified SAFe 4/5 Product Owner/Product Manager a plus
