Senior QA Tester

Responsible for the planning, integration, test casing, scripting and execution of all testing to ensure proper coverageSchedules and leads test deliverables review sessions as necessaryWork on multiple projects/systems as a project team member and are consiered to be a subject matter expert for a single project/system. These projects are of moderate to high complexity within one or more development environmentsCollaborate with the BSA and Development teams in the analysis and review of business objectives and requirements to ensure requirements are testableActively participate in the review of architectural and technical design specificationsDevelop, document and maintain the test data, data validation, end to end testing flows.Conducts testing using HNB manual and/or automated test processes and reports resultsMay run database queries in order to supply data validation within test scriptsUpdates test cases based upon approved change requestsWorks with BSAs and Development teams on defect analysis and triageAssigns defect severity, and manages defects throughout the projectWorks with colleagues and project managers to meet established target dates and completion of activities/deliverables under changing conditionsCreates test status reports per project guidelinesCreates test results and test summary deliverables to ensure production implementation readinessCreates and facilitates review of the Test Strategy with the project teamIdentifies any potential quality issues per defined processes and escalates potential quality issues immediately to managementCollects testing sign-off from all testing participants, including cross-impacted application teamsEnsures all aspects of testing, such as manual execution, regression, automation and performance testing, is completedCollaborates with Project Test Lead on estimating the test effortsCollaborates with the project team to support UAT efforts as neededMaintains the regression test bed to meet changing requirements; Participates in off-hour production releases as neededSupports the projectis warranty period as neededWorks under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgement and problem solvingProvides mentorship to junior team members as neededUnderstands and follows the project lifecycle methodology consistently. Ensure all team deliverables are planned, prioritized, tracked, and completed. Deliverables include test cases, test plans and user stories within the client's standards. Partners with scrum team to ensure system behavior is functioning as expected. Partners closely with QA lead for all the testing activities and defect management Actively participates in Agile SCRUM ceremonies. Participates in End-to-end testing that involves various other applications. May run database queries to supply data validation within test scripts. Works with BSAs and Development teams on defect analysis and triage Assigns defect severity, and manages defects throughout the project Identifies any potential quality issues per defined processes and escalates potential quality issues immediately to management. Ensures all aspects of testing, such as manual execution, regression, automation, and performance testing, are completed within the desired time. Maintains the regression test bed to meet changing requirements. Participates in off-hour production releases as needed Uses tools such as Postman, Thunderclient, Jmeter, GIT, Jenkins, SOAP UI, SQL Server Job Requirements:Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, Engineering, or a related technical field. 5 years of testing experience Must have experience working in Rest APIs Strong technical knowledge with a good understanding of software development principles, QA Framework/Basic Test Methodology, and project lifecycles (e.g., SDLC) Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to explain system issues clearly and concisely and establish effective working relationships. High motivated with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
