Apex Systems is looking for a Senior Mobile Application Developer to support our clients Digital Operations Platform which is on Android and written in Kotlin. The position is a contract through the end of the year, with further chance of extension. Candidates who are local to Arizona are highly preferred, but other candidates will be considered.
Position Summary:
The Senior Mobile Application Developer serves as a lead technical resource on the Digital Development Team (web & mobile) and participates in all phases of the development lifecycle. The Senior Mobile Application Developer will analyze complex business and technical problems and shape and deliver the company's new mobile operations platform. The Senior Mobile Application Developer will be considered the subject matter expert on the mobile application and web technologies.
Qualifications:
Kotlin, MVP, MVVM, RxJava, Coroutines, Jetpack Compose (among others in the Android space)Experience with agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)Experience working with offshore/near shore teamsIn-depth understanding of e-commerce and experience developing highly transactional and mission critical applicationsUnderstanding of web development tools and frameworks, including: CSS preprocessing, e.g. LESS Front end build tools, e.g. Gulp, Grunt JavaScript testing framework, e.g. Jasmine, Karma Front end components, e.g. Bower JavaScript compression and minification, e.g. Uglify Developer/Build tools, including GIT and Jenkins Code analysis tools such as PMD, Checkstyle, Findbugs and Sonar.
Required Skills : - Kotlin, MVP, MVVM, RxJava, Coroutines, & Jetpack Compose among others in the Android space - This person should be very senior with experience making and implementing architectural changes and technical refactoring skills - Strong and proactive communication skills. This resource will be working individually but also share direction and details with others. - Prior experience working as a Lead and/or Mentor is a plus.Basic Qualification :
