Project Overview: Assist with ITSM Change and Release Management Product Owners in the development, adoption and adherence to the Enterprise Release Management process.
Contractor's Role: The Release Manager works with the ITSM Change and Release Product Owners and Change Owners to ensure Change and Releases are properly documented in ServiceNow. Release Manager will assist in oversight of the Enterprise Release Management process, documenting and communicating updates to the process.
Qualifications (Must Have's):• This person must have strong organization skills, ability to communicate and manage tasks• Strong verbal and written communication skills for variety of audiences (developers, infrastructure engineering, management, project managers, etc)• Technical experience with infrastructure• Proven release management experience• Understanding of development lifecycle process and ITSM Change process• Experience with ServiceNow• Self-Starter, Motivated• Process focused

Tasks & responsibilities.• The Release Manager provides oversight to the release planning and execution and ensures proper planning, quality control and dependency management.• Ongoing management of IT changes that impact program / project releases.• Manage program / project release process.• Adhere to Program Release Management Standards, including release deployment plan, schedule, packaging, method of deployment, and deployment runbook.• Drive execution of and report progress against the release implementation plan.• Proactively manage delivery of agreed release functionality and timing.• Ensure IT teams impacted by each release adhere to established release processes and policies established by Enterprise Release Management.• Facilitate the creation and review of release documentation and process, coordinate with the tech teams (Program Manager, Project Managers and Tech Leads) to ensure Enterprise Release Management processes are communicated and followed• Responsibilities also include building the IT Release Calendar in working closely with the IT release managers from different portfolios across IT and centralizing view of all releases.• Leads the effort of defining the IT strategic direction for release management tools for IT to ensure the process requirements of release management are followed• Provide periodic reports on Enterprise Release Management adoption and effectiveness.
