Description
Our client is responsible for administering three programs to ensure continual compliance within the Commercial Facility Irrigation Assessment, Cooling Tower Efficiency, and Commercial Vehicle Wash Assessment.
The data associated to these Assessment programs are currently managed in excel workbooks, with data related to fines being stored in both the excel workbooks and the Water Conservation Tracking System ("WCTS") database. WCTS does not have the capability to serve as a database for rebate, enforcement, and the Assessment programs, but WCD is searching for a technology that does.
In preparation for the replacement of WCTS, and to serve as an interim solution, WCD is seeking an individual to create a database in Microsoft Access that the Assessment programs can all work out of. This individual will be required to gather user requirements, user stories, data normalization, creating the database model, and creating forms, queries and reports.
Requirements Strong database design and development knowledge using Microsoft Access Strong SQL skills. Ability to write complex queries, join tables, load data from spreadsheets Ability to access and query databases using ADO (Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects). Strong knowledge of database normalization and ability to create forms, reports and queries in Microsoft Access. Strong communications skills. Experience in Agile methodology.
