Description
Crane operators must have industrial crane operating experience in a petrochemical or related industrial fabrication facility. Responsibilities may include: Operating crane under supervision, inspect crane on routine basis, Lift, position and place machinery, equipment or other large objects at construction sites and industrial facilities, Operate crane according to signals, Place blocks and outriggers to prevent capsizing when lifting heavy loads, read load charts and calculate lift requirements per manufacturer requirements, and ensure load is safely attached to crane prior to lift.
Requirements
NCCER or NCCCO certification for type of crane operating.
Must pass Repcon Crane operator and Rigging craft test.
Current Basic Orientation Plus (Safety Council Card) or within 3 months expiration.
Current TWIC card
Have three (3) or more years’ experience in your craft.
Follow established job-site safety and work regulations, as well as maintaining a safe and clean work area. Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to Pass a DOT Physical.
