Job Description
Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements (balance sheet and statements of operations, equity and cash flow) and annual footnotes for wind, solar, and thermal energy power projects and related entitiesPerform analytics to review reporting variances / activityWork with external auditors to provide annual financial statements and footnotes, audit information, and other documents and worksheets as needed to support successful completion of year-end auditCompile and analyze financial information for internal and external reportingAssist in calculating impairments and other accounting areasAssist with coordinating and sending reporting requirements to external partiesUtilize Microsoft Excel and other tools to create schedules and annual reportsUtilize Workiva/Wdesk for quarterly and annual financial statements and internal reportingAssist the Financial Reporting group in developing process improvements and increase efficiencies within the departmentAssist in researching technical accounting issues and analyzing the impact on financial statementsContribute to the development of accounting policies, procedures, and methodologies
Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar business/finance field2+ years of accounting experienceExisting understanding and knowledge of GAAPProficient skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office products required
Preferred Skills
CPA preferredMulti-entity organization, SEC company or Public accounting firm experience preferredAbility to adhere to monthly, quarterly and annual department driven deadlinesAbility to multi-task and manage shifting priorities and deadlinesStrong analytical abilities and attention to detail with ability to self reviewAbility to work both independently and in a team environmentStrong coordination / organizational skills with attentiveness to timelinesExperience with Workiva/Wdesk product and/or Oracle Fusion preferredAbility to communicate clearly and effectively with individuals within a variety of business units and external organizationsResponsible and dependable, with an exceptional work ethic
