There’s never been a better time.We are looking for an outstanding Senior Network Secure Messaging Development Engineer to support the development and delivery of our Sudo applications. You will be joining a high-powered experienced team who follow agile development principles, and who value well-designed software, creative thinking and thrive on solving the unsolvable. You will be working on technology spanning mobile communications (voice, messaging, email, safe browsing, password manager), and fintech/payments all underpinned by strong security and privacy principles.We focus on building high quality apps. All code changes are peer reviewed. We value meaningful unit, integration and UI tests with high code coverage. We conduct test jams regularly.This is a fantastic opportunity to work at a well-established global start-up, working with global leaders in the security and privacy space located in our US Headquarters.RequirementsMust-haves:Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field7+ years of industry experience developing commercial systems in a Linux/BSD environmentWorking knowledge of PKI and TLSWorking knowledge of cryptographyWorking knowledge of secure messaging protocols such as Signal and MatrixWorking knowledge of the messaging layer security protocol is a plusIndustry commercial development experience using C, C++, Go, and Java, Rust is a plusExperience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, CloudFront, CloudWatch, VPC, CloudFormation)Deep knowledge of TypeScriptExperience in a continuous integration/deployment environmentExperience in medium to large scale cloud-based environmentsAbility to develop maintainable, well-designed software under tight deadlinesExperience implementing and maintaining unit, integration and system testsPassion for solving hard problemsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsSome experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and JavaScriptInterest in privacy and the protection of personal informationStrong foundational knowledge in Computer Science fundamentalsExperience developing with security APIs and technologiesAbility to support services with an on call rotationHybrid work, 2-3 days in office a weekBonus PointsExperience with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) or Terraform frameworkFluency in multiple programming languages, Rust is a plusExperience in IOS or Android developmentKnowledge of Clean Architecture conceptsExperience working at a startupFinally, we expect you to score extremely high on our
