The Territory Manager reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for their specified region. This position is responsible for identifying and recommending new distribution partners as well as building and maintaining relationships with existing distribution partners.

The Territory Manager will be part of the team responsible for Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa. The ideal candidate will be near Milwaukee, WI; Madison, WI; St. Paul/Minneapolis, MN; Cedar Rapids, IA; or the I-94 corridor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Support Pilz distribution sales channel by:

Develop a close relation with all Pilz listed distributorsHold sales presentations at distributor locations and trade showsTrain Pilz listed distributors on the function of all Pilz partsIncrease the sales of the distribution sales channel by an agreed upon percentage within the assigned territoryTravel to distributors in assigned territory to assist them with training and attend joint callsHelp Pilz listed distributors to identify and develop new sales opportunitiesFunction as an advocate for the distributors within Pilz Automation Safety, L.P.Provide an excellent experience for the distributors in all interactionsWork with the Channel Sales Manager (CSM) to sign new distributorsAssist assigned Pilz listed distributors with annual renewal agreementsDrive accounts that fall out of the "Direct Sales Guideline" to the appropriate distribution resource in the assigned territory

Support direct accounts as assigned by:Focus direct sales efforts on targeted accounts

Function as a direct sales resource for Pilz services and training within the assigned territory

Fulfill all reporting requirements

Maintain and update the data contained within the Client Relations Management tool (CRM)Provide all reports to the RSM/CSM on time including but not limited to Business reports, travel plans and objectives for the coming quarter

Quarterly review

Work with the Channel Sales Manager to develop the annual sales projections for distribution within the assigned territoryReport any changes in forecast and the reason for these changes to the CSM in a timely mannerMaintain an accurate calendar including a 3 month rolling visit scheduleComplete and submit expense reports in a timely manner

Function as an integral part of the existing sales team

Communicate cross territorial sales opportunities with the appropriate Pilz sales resourceSupport members of the Key Account Management team in other regions or territories with sales activities in the assigned territorySupport members of the Channel Management team with sales activities in the assigned territorySupport the Business Development team with sales activities in the assigned territory

Other duties as assignedTravel required 40% to 60% of the time

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and five (5) years experience in technical automation sales or an equivalent combination of education and experienceTechnical degree such as Electrical Engineering preferredExcellent communication skills, verbal and writtenAble to travel regionally up to four (4) days per weekIntermediate Microsoft Office userAbility to speak in large groups of peopleExcellent organizational and planning skillsSelf motivated with a high level of autonomyAbility to accumulate and demonstrate technical knowledgeWillingness to learn Pilz products and proceduresSelf-motivated, well-organized and team orientedWhat We Offer:
