Job Summary
This role has a hybrid working schedule, so the candidate MUST LIVE in the
Phoenix, Arizona, area . The Senior Data Analyst builds Power BI visualizations/dashboards, organizes and queries large datasets, integrates external data into the Power BI data model using Power Query, identifies trends, and presents findings to help guide business decisions. This role will provide technical expertise in the company's Power BI development and deployment. The Senior Data Analyst position may also perform complex analyses, help conduct and facilitate education/training on data, and support the data analytics team in building new processes and procedures.
Essential job functions/duties
Collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets from various sources to answer high-impact business questions and identify patterns, trends, and insights. Perform in-depth analyses and create data models to identify trends and key drivers that inform important business decisions. Create professional visualizations and presentations to communicate findings and complex information to stakeholders concisely and effectively. Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and drive successful completion of analytics work while maintaining high accuracy. Ask probing questions to develop data solutions that meet the stakeholders' requirements and support the use case goals. Pay attention to small details, identify errors, and maintain high levels of accuracy when working with data. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies and seek opportunities to develop new skills. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required
At least five (5) years of relevant data analytics experience
is required . Expertise in all facets of Microsoft Power BI development
is required. Strong knowledge of Power BI dashboard/visualization development, DAX coding, Power Query, and/or M code development. Solid understanding of data modeling principles
is required. Advanced knowledge and experience with SQL
preferred . Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel
preferred . Experience with Tableau, Python, and/or Looker
preferred . Experience with healthcare analytics
preferred . Ability to work with limited supervision but able to take direction and constructive criticism when needed. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and report on progress. Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.
