Responsibilities:System Design:

Design and develop power electronic systems and components, such as inverters, converters, rectifiers, and motor drives, for specific applications and requirements. Define system architectures, specifications, and performance criteria based on project objectives and customer needs.Circuit Design:

Design analog and digital circuits for power electronic converters, including gate drivers, control circuits, feedback loops, and protection circuits. Select and integrate power semiconductor devices (e.g., MOSFETs, IGBTs, diodes) and passive components (e.g., capacitors, inductors) into circuit designs.Simulation and Analysis:

Perform simulation and analysis of power electronic circuits using software tools such as SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or PSIM. Evaluate circuit performance, transient behavior, and steady-state operation under various load conditions, input voltages, and temperature ranges.PCB Layout and Prototyping:

Design printed circuit board (PCB) layouts for power electronic circuits, ensuring proper placement, routing, and thermal management. Work closely with PCB designers to optimize layout for signal integrity, power distribution, and manufacturability. Prototype and test PCB designs to validate performance and functionality.Testing and Validation:

Develop test plans, procedures, and test setups for validating power electronic systems and components. Conduct bench testing, characterization testing, and performance testing to verify compliance with specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.Failure Analysis and Troubleshooting:

Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to power electronic systems, including component failures, circuit anomalies, and performance deviations. Analyze test data, conduct root cause analysis, and propose corrective actions or design improvements as needed.Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare technical documentation, design reports, and engineering drawings for power electronic designs. Document design requirements, specifications, schematics, and test results in accordance with industry standards and company procedures.Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, firmware engineers, and system integrators, to integrate power electronic designs into larger systems and products. Communicate design requirements, progress updates, and technical insights effectively to stakeholders.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.3+ years of experience in power electronics design, development, and testing.Strong knowledge of power electronic circuits, topologies, and control techniques.Proficiency in simulation and analysis tools such as SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or PSIM.Experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro) and layout best practices.Familiarity with power semiconductor devices (MOSFETs, IGBTs, diodes) and passive components.Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment for power electronics testing and measurement.Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and analytical abilities.Effective communication, teamwork, and project management skills.$90,000 - $120,000 a year#J-18808-Ljbffr
