Systems Engineer

Fidelity is looking for a System Engineer to join the Data Detection, Security & Response Chapter within the Software Engineering Domain.

The Team

Our team focuses on Database Activity Monitoring for our most critical database platforms. We architect, design, deploy, coordinate, support, and maintain global deployments of database activity monitoring capabilities. We have strong technical backgrounds, ability to tackle sophisticated problems, innovative thinking, excellent communication, and willingness to drive customer happiness directly with end users.

The Expertise You HaveBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent technology fieldDemonstrated ability in a cloud DevOps role, cloud architectures and solutions is requiredCI/CD pipeline automation and orchestration applying Bitbucket, Artifactory, Jenkins as well as scripting knowledge (python, Shell) is requiredExperience in working with cloud computing technologies (MS Azure / AWS) is requiredExperience in images rehydration and high availability disaster recovery architectures is preferredExperience in Cybersecurity Database activity Logging & MonitoringExperience with AWS CloudWatchExperience with jSonar or similar productsExperience of working with global teams, across different time zones.AWS or Azure Certified preferredExperience in working with Agile Scrum methodologyThe Skills You Bring

Strong knowledge of supporting operating systems (Linux and Windows) from Engineering standpointStrong knowledge of cloud/on prem/hybrid database deployment modelsExperience with ITIL or another IT service management frameworkFamiliarity with security standards, regulations, and reports (PCI, SOX, HIPPA, GDPR, ISO 27001)Excellent system analysis and problem-solving skillsExperience Troubleshooting Difficult Technical ProblemsStrong knowledge in engineering the phased/layered Test approachesThe Value You Deliver

You will deliver engineering solutions and capabilities that deepen our ability to monitor database activity to support our Cybersecurity initiativeYou will be responsible for providing ongoing production support including incident, change and release management activitiesYou will be required to participate in our global on-call rotation to ensure platform availability and stabilityYou will be responsible for technology lifecycle management activitiesYou will use well established enterprise standards, processes and procedures to ensure engineering activities are delivered in a timely fashion with high quality of work product
