Role Overview:We are seeking a talented and creative iSeries/AS400 Developer to join our Application Development and Solutions Support team.In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and supporting iSeries code that underpins various applications in the Retail Domain.Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and develop iSeries code using RPG, RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, and Control Language (CLP/CLLE).Create functional specifications for applications following standard practices, processes, and procedures.Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and collaborate with team members on development and QA tasks.Adhere to IS division development standards and deployment processes.Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly defined, understood, and documented.Participate in development estimation, deployment, and release planning.Provide 2nd level support for incident resolution, create KB articles, and offer on-call support.Perform peer reviews on source code to ensure best practices and scalability.Engage in technical discussions focusing on software design, architecture, and development.Requirements:

Excellent programming skills on the iSeries platform using RPG, RPG ILE, and SQLRPGLE.Proficiency in SQL concepts, including complex queries, embedded SQL, and Cursor programming.Strong understanding of Database Concepts such as Physical files, Logical Files, SQL tables, Indexes, Views, and Stored procedures.Familiarity with screen programming using Display Files, Subfiles, and Printer files.Ability to document business rules effectively and create data mapping documents.Experience with ILE Programming, including program modules and service programs.Knowledge of Message Queue (MQ), MQ Trigger, and embedding XML tags in RPG Programs.Excellent communication skills for collaborating with analysts and stakeholders.Good to Have:

Working knowledge of code configuration management tools like Turnover.Familiarity with cross-reference tools like X-Analysis.Understanding of Triggers, Message Queuing, and ROBOT job scheduler.Knowledge of normalized, denormalized tables, and Star Schema databases.Experience with iSeries Navigator for performance analysis of SQL queries.Exposure to the Retail Domain, especially in areas like Merchandising and Warehouse Management.
