Department OverviewThe Middle Market Lending Team provides senior, one-stop and second lien loans to U.S. middle market companies. The team structures financing solutions with hold positions of up to $700 million. We also underwrite and syndicate senior credit facilities and a proprietary suite of GOLD (unitranche) facilities up to $2 billion. The Middle Market Lending Team has specialty teams in four verticals: Consumer, Restaurant and Retail, Diversified Industries, Healthcare and Software & Technology services. The team has an outstanding track record of closing deals on time and at the agreed-upon terms, utilizing deep industry knowledge to identify, advise on and implement value creation strategies. Key responsibilities include origination and underwriting of loans. The team works closely with all areas of the Firm to ensure seamless execution.The Direct Lending Middle Office (“DLMO”) Team bridges the gap between front office investment professionals and back-office support teams. The Middle Office manages processes for the Firm and creates / maintains deal and portfolio-level reporting that is used firmwide.Position ResponsibilitiesGolub Capital is looking for a skilled Data Analyst to assist in the review and maintenance of key deal information for the Firm, assist in Firm projects and provide support to end users with data quality initiatives.Position responsibilities include:Working with the Team to monitor and analyze a diverse portfolio of debt and equity financingsInputting borrower’s financial data into the Firm’s credit monitoring databaseCommunicating with deal professionals to understand the details of our borrower’s business and financial statementsEvaluating the Firm’s credit monitoring database and data capabilities and identifying system modifications or changes to current data processesLiaising with Investor Reporting Team to respond to specific investor requestsCandidate RequirementsQualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance or accounting2-4 years of work experience within the Financial Services sector or strong internship experienceKnowledge and understanding of financial statements including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statementsStrong working knowledge of ExcelFamiliar with Microsoft Office desktop and Office365 tools (e.g., Word, SharePoint)Extreme attention to detailAbility to take initiative and work independently while demonstrating strong teamworkMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage time and priorities under pressure and meet deadlinesCritical Competencies for Success:Our Gold Standards define key behaviors and competencies across 4 dimensions: Leadership, Achieving Results, Personal Effectiveness and Thinking Critically.
