Intrepid Studios’ Ashes of Creation team is looking for a highly motivated and talented
Senior Anti-Cheat Engineer
to join us, here in beautiful southern California. This role will report to the Lead Engineer and support our engineering team by implementing updates and new key features on Ashes of Creation to ensure that we deliver great gameplay and protection from cheating/abuse for our valued community! This is a great opportunity to unleash your creativity and partner with talented game veterans to craft a unique MMORPG that helps bring people together.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with designers, artists, and other engineers to ensure a great player experienceDesign and develop gameplay features across client and server to mitigate cheating and abuseMaintain familiarity of the game’s design, for both the live product and for future patchesCollaborate with other members of the engineering team to build sustainable and maintainable technologiesRequirementsA passion to make life difficult for the “bad guys”Mastery of C++A minimum of 7 years’ game programming experienceA strong motivation to analyze and improve systems and infrastructureA solid understanding of Windows Internals and WINAPI.Self-motivation and willingness to participate in many areas of game developmentExcellent verbal and written communications skillsPlusesExperience with securing applications, game cheating, or client/network exploitationProficiency in multi-threaded systemsPrevious experience designing gameplay systems for MMO gamesBachelor’s degrees in computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field or equivalent work experienceExperience with code and algorithmic optimization to improve performanceA passion for playing MMO gamesRequired Application Materials:Resume & PortfolioCover Letter which should include:Relevant information about yourself that demonstrates exceptional ability and goes beyond your resumeWhy you are interested in working at IntrepidWhat games you are currently playingInterview Overview:Below you'll find an outline of the interview plan for this role. The base salary for this role is between $125,000 - $187,500, depending on skills and experience.
