Position DescriptionApplied Medical’s Clinical Development team uses their clinical understanding to identify market opportunities, understand users’ needs, and work with a variety of internal teams for product and program launches, and post-market activities.As a Clinical Development Analyst, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:Lead in coordination and support for the management of devices, products or programsGain a thorough understanding of surgical procedures, surgical equipment, and OR environmentsSupport the various stages of product or program life cycle, including research and identification of clinical/customer needs, market analysis, launch and implementation, product management, and post-market surveillanceMonitor and analyze the market, our devices, and competitive devicesIdentify opportunities for product expansion into the marketUtilize multiple sources of information to clearly identify clinical needs, present those finding to the team, and collaborate with team members to drive projectsLead and actively contribute in growing our market share through product awareness campaigns, tradeshows, and providing support to our Sales teamProvide support through design controls process for product development or enhancement projectsDevelop proficiency using SAP software for inventory and product life cycle managementEstablish processes to support cross-departmental projectsBuild working relationships with Healthcare ProfessionalsDevelop and promote the Applied Medical brand and cultureGeneral ExpectationsWithin the initial 3-6 months, team members will familiarize themselves with clinical, procedural, and product knowledge, as well as Applied Medical’s cultureAt 6-9 months, team members will assist with Clinical Development’s tasks and responsibilitiesAt 9-12 months, team members will begin to independently lead and complete project deliverables and clinical activities

Position RequirementsThis position requires the following skills and attributes:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceBasic mathematics and analysisEffective written and oral communication skills2+ years’ experience writing reportsAbility to collaborate in a team environmentAbility to formulate reports and present findingsProficiency in using Microsoft Office programs, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookFlexibility to work occasional nights and weekendsAbility to meet all hospital credentialing requirements, which may include background check, drug screen and vaccinationsAbility to travel up to 25% of the time

PreferredThe following skills and attributes are preferred:Experience in an OR environmentExperience giving presentationsData-mining and analysisStatistics

BenefitsThe base compensation range for this role is $70000 - $90000 / year for the position in California. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries in California based on the date of this job posting. Each amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation once such amount is earned and determinable.
