As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Device Marketing Director to lead our marketing initiatives and drive the success of our products in the market. A radiation oncology, data-driven and high-performance mindset is essential for this role as is collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-impact programs and training tools used in customer interactions. Strong attention to detail, a teamwork approach and the appropriate measure of professional assertiveness and diplomacy will be key to success in this role.
Job Summary:
We are looking for an accomplished and strategic Director of Product Marketing to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the medical device industry, excellent strategic and analytical skills, and a passion for bringing innovative healthcare solutions to market. As the Director of Product Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our product marketing strategy, driving product awareness, identifying customer needs, developing value propositions, differentiating our portfolio, and ensuring the success of our medical devices in the global market.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute marketing strategies that align with the company's overall business goals and objectives, focusing on market positioning and penetration.
- Develop and Execute Marketing Strategy: Create and implement a comprehensive product marketing strategy for our medical devices, aligning with corporate objectives and market trends.
- Product Launch: Lead the successful launch of new medical devices, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless introduction to the market.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify opportunities, assess competition, and stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze product marketing performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to inform decision-making.
- Content Development: Create and manage the production of compelling product marketing collateral, including brochures, whitepapers, web content, and videos.
- Brand Management: Ensure brand alignment, consistency, and message clarity across all marketing materials and channels.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, R&D, and other departments to ensure product marketing initiatives align with overall business objectives.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of product marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all product marketing activities adhere to relevant regulatory requirements and standards.
- Digital Product Marketing: Develop and execute digital product marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media, to increase brand visibility and lead generation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 8-10 years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years in the medical device or healthcare industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies for medical devices or related products.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and marketing technology.
Position must have full access to Varian client sites to perform the essential functions of this position. Many clients require Varian employees and representatives to meet certain Vendor Credentialing requirements before they will be allowed to have access to their sites. Unless prohibited by law, position must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access and must continue to meet those requirements during the course of employment in this position.
