Requirements:
- A Maryland licensed in Occupational Therapy.
- Knowledge of physical disabilities and sensory processing deficits and appropriate therapy strategies.
- Demonstrated diagnostic skills in the area of fine motor and physical development.
- Knowledge of and ability to administer fine motor assessments.
- Knowledge of and ability to administer sensory processing assessments.
- Ability to write evaluation reports and Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Knowledge of the IEP/IFSP/504 Plan process and an understanding of the content of the required documents.
- Knowledge of the Medicaid billing process.
- Knowledge of educational and psychological assessments.
- Knowledge of disabilities and accommodations/supports to access the general education curriculum.
- Knowledge of and experience working with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Responsibilities:
- Administers fine motor assessments and sensory processing profiles to students.
- Writes evaluation reports based on assessment results within given timelines and write evaluation reports.
- Provides occupational therapy to students as prescribed by a students IEP.
- Provides consultation services to classroom teachers.
- Observes students and provide screening information to IEP teams.
- Attends IEP meetings.
- Develops IEP/IFSP/504 Plans and writes IEP/IFSP goals and objectives or outcomes within given timelines.
- Maintains data and provides quarterly progress reports.
- Completes and submits monthly Medicaid billing forms and therapy documentation.
- Assist with developing sensory intervention plans for students.
- Participates in parent conferences and team meetings.
