IF NO OKLAHOMA LICENSE PLEASE TELL ME WHERE YOU ARE LICENSED SO I CAN LOOK THERE The Hospitalist locum tenens opportunities in Oklahoma -Duration: March 2020 December 2020 (potential for extension) -Location: Oklahoma City (surrounding area) -Schedule: 12 hour shifts 7a-7p and 7p-7a, -Scope: 3 opportunities: Each hospital itemized below -Procedures: Procedure requirements itemized below -EMR: EPIC (experience preferred) -Required: Board certified or Eligible, Oklahoma license in good standing, OBNDD, DEA Hospital 1: 156-bed, acute-care facility serving Pontotoc County and the surrounding areas in south-central Oklahoma OPEN, 12-bed ICU Hospitalists manage ICU patients ICU unit is monitored 24/7 by Virtual Care Center based outside of St. Louis, MO. All virtual staff is fully credentialed. MUST be comfortable intubating and managing vents 12 hour shifts. These could be days, nights or a combination. No call outside of scheduled shift Days: 7 AM 7 PM Nights: 7 PM 7 AM Procedures are REQUIRED including central lines, lumbar punctures, abdominal paracentesis, thoracenteses, etc. 2 physicians working during the day along with 1 Acute Care Trained APRN, 1 physician on at night each week Limited subspecialty consults available (NO: Nephrology, GI, Infectious Disease, Neurology is limited to virtual stroke, etc.) Admit for most specialties Average Census: 12-18 patients which includes 2-4 admissions. Cap at 18 Hospital 2: Is a full-service tertiary hospital with 190 licensed beds serving southern Oklahoma OPEN, 13-bed ICU Hospitalists manage ICU patients ICU unit is monitored 24/7 by Virtual Care Center based outside of St. Louis, MO. All virtual staff is fully credentialed. MUST be comfortable intubating and managing vents 12 hour shifts. These could be day, nights or a combination. Some call on patients may occur following day shifts but would be rare, if at all. Days: 7 AM 7 PM Nights: 7 PM 7 AM Procedures are REQUIRED including central lines, lumbar punctures, abdominal paracentesis, thoracenteses, etc. 4 physicians working during the day, 1 physician on at night each week Good subspecialty support Admit for most specialties Average Census: 16-18 patients which includes 4-6 admissions. Cap at 18 Hospital 3: Is a 380-bed hospital, and a leader in the treatment of cancer and stroke, breast imaging and robotic surgery No procedural requirements (currently) but this may change given the uncertain environment surrounding COVID-19. Could be asked to perform standard hospitalists procedures, do basic vent management, intubations, etc. CLOSED 36-bed ICU managed by Pulm/CC physicians. HOWEVER, hospitalists could admit to ICU if needed 8 physicians working during the day (7 AM 7 PM) which includes an admitter 1 physician working swing shift (3 PM 12 PM start taking transfers by phone at 12:00 PM) 1 nocturnist physician at night focusing on admissions (7-10 on average) accompanied by an APP who is taking house officer calls on 130-140 patients Loose geographic rounding Great subspecialty support including neurohospitalists, intensivists, general surgery surgicalists, interventional radiology, etc. Average census is 15-18 patients.
