Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute is seeking Hematology and Medical Oncology applicants at the Assistant Professor level or higher interested in a General Hematology/Oncology full-time position at Cleveland Clinic Akron General. In addition, we are looking for eligible candidates for the Medical Director position of the practice. The successful candidate should be board certified or eligible in Medical Oncology or Hematology and hold or be eligible for medical licensure in Ohio.
The scope of the position includes:
- Combined inpatient/outpatient patient care
- Broad mix of Hematology and Medical Oncology with the opportunity to focus and participate in clinical trials
- Large program with four infusion sites, outpatient clinics and inpatient service
- Strong Radiation Oncology department with two new LINACs
- Large surgical oncology team to support multi-disciplinary care. Surgeons to collaborate with who do HIPEC, Surgical Oncology, Colorectal, Breast and Plastics, Gyn Onc and fellowship trained Neuro Onc and Ortho Onc
- Extensive radiology, diagnostic, interventional, and pathology support
- Training programs with Residencies in Surgery, Medicine, OB/GYN, Family Practice, ER, and Fellowships in Breast Surgery Oncology and Surgical ICU/Trauma (Level 1 Trauma Center) with about 170 house staff
- Clinical research opportunities—Phase 3 trials, investigator initiated, and industry sponsored; participation in Cleveland Clinic Regional Research Group expected.
