The University of Missouri's Division of Hematology & Medical Oncology and MU Health Care are seeking hematology-oncology candidates at the Assistant Professor level or higher, and we welcome your application.
The division is currently undergoing strong expansion in all areas, including starting a bone marrow transplantation and CAR-T cell therapy program. Additional focus is on the growth of our Theranostics program.
We will prioritize candidates with experience and interest in specializing in BMT/CAR-T, Malignant Hematology. Breast, Skin, Upper GI, Head & Neck, Brain, or Benign Hematology, reflecting the needs for a rapidly growing program.
About Us:
As part of the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center and the NextGen Precision Medicine Initiative, candidates with interest in clinical and translational research find an integrative network of clinicians and researchers to provide high-quality patient care and state-of-the-art therapies to Missouri. They will be part of cutting-edge world-class research and have access to the most novel biomedical technologies.
Our Hematology and Oncology fellowship program consists of 3 fellows per year.
Job Details:
- Team:
- 8 physician faculty
- 3 Ph.D. faculty
- 6 APPs
- Dedicated cancer hospital, Ellis Fischel Hospital, located within the main University Hospital campus.
- Hospital Call: 7 to 8 weeks per year
- Clinical Trials: Roughly 45-50 clinical trials are being conducted at any given time with increases expected with continued development.
- Competitive base salary starting at $400K with productivity incentive
- Hiring bonuses available and include student loan repayment assistance, stipends for highly qualified fellows willing to commit early
- All ranks, all tracks available.
Qualifications:
- MD/DO
- BC/BE
- Commitment to continuous development and growth of clinical services, clinical teaching activities, and research.
- Rank commensurate with experience. All ranks available (assistant, associate, full professor)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interests in specializing in one or several of the following focus areas: Bone Marrow Transplantation/CAR T cell therapy
- Breast Cancer
- Lung
- Head & Neck
- Brain
- Benign Hematology
- Malignant Hematology
- Basic science research experience or interest
- Currently funded physician-scientists
- Clinical Trial experience
- 3+ years in clinical, academic practice
