Title: Fullstack Developer – React/React NativeLocation: Detroit, MI / Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)Note: C2C & 3rd Party candidates will NOT be consideredAs a Fullstack Developer you will implement highly interactive, responsive, and scalable UI components, backend APIs, libraries, and reusable application frameworks that will accelerate delivery of our top project initiatives. Using your passion for innovation, you will seek to continuously enhance and streamline developer experiences with tools and automation controls that will accelerate speed-to-market and improve the quality of software. You will use your technical expertise, industry knowledge, and passion for continuous learning to help shape the roadmap for platform modernization, reduce operational overhead, and enable the company to offer best-in-class customer experiences.This role will provide candidates with ample opportunity to apply problem solving, software architecture, and design concepts, and the latest technology to implement systems and solutions that drive real business results. You will collaborate with developers and architects from other enterprise teams and participate and lead technical communities of practice.Key Responsibilities:
Serving as a core member of an Agile team, leading user story elaboration, design, development, testing, and implementation of software application and infrastructure-as-codeWriting code and unit tests, automation, and conducting code reviews and testingCollaborating with other team architects, engineers, and vendors, as necessaryIdentifying exciting opportunities for adopting new technologies to solve existing needs and predicting future challengesPerforming ongoing refactoring of code utilizing visualization and other techniques to fast-track concepts and delivering continuous improvementEnabling the deployment, support, and monitoring of software across test, integration, and production environmentsWorking with product managers to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and managing a list of technical requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects, and issues; working along with stakeholders to understand and analyze the requirementsLeading a culture of innovation and experimentation, engaging in fun and outcome-oriented culture, and taking calculated risks that push the envelopeActively studying new and emerging technologies, including rapidly prototyping and carrying out POCsIdentifying opportunities for adopting new technologiesMaintaining documentation, coding standards, and style guidesOptimizing application performance, quality, and delivery to defined organizational standards and best practicesInfluencing team members with creative changes and improvements by challenging status quoServing as a mentor for junior and new engineers and peers in the software development practice to help them grow in their technical responsibilities and remove blockers
Key Qualifications:
4+ years of software development experience, with strong proficiency using React and React-Native, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScriptExperience with modern API technologies, integrations, architecture and design practices, and protocols, with hands-on experience using one or more API technologies (REST, RPC, Open API, GraphQL, Micro-Services, Serverless)Experience testing and debugging web and mobile apps, including writing unit testsIn-depth knowledge of the React ecosystem, including React Router, Redux, and other popular libraries and frameworksProficiency in at least one server-side programming technology, such as NodeJS, Python, or JavaExperience designing and building Cloud native applicationsExperience using NoSQL databases and distributed messaging systems, such as Redis or KafkaExperience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools, such as Gitlab Pipelines/Jenkins/GitHubAbility to learn and deep dive into new technologies and business domains, question the status quo, and think outside of the boxAbility to apply core programming concepts to learn and develop in new languages to meet project requirementsProficient oral and written communication skillsExperience with cloud technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Terraform preferredWorking knowledge of public cloud technologies (e.g. AWS) preferredA minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
