Salary: $155,000 - $170,000 per year

We are looking for a dynamic embedded systems engineering professional to join our engineering team and work on our cutting edge 5G Fronthaul and Backhaul Ethernet transport products. This position requires a person who can demonstrate expertise in supporting and enhancing the existing software development infrastructure and tools.

What you'll do

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of the development of our software infrastructure.

Analyze and understand software modules and constructs in the existing software infrastructure platform.Developing, fixing, and debugging and improving Linux kernelWork with different teams in the integration and testing of the software infrastructure.

What we're looking for

The successful candidate will have experience in:

Working knowledge of build system infrastructure and tools.In-depth understanding of Yocto build process on vendor BSP targeted for custom hardware.Understanding of complex networking hardware functionality to implement and debug device drivers.Engage with vendors for tech support related to hardware, software, tools or other details to arrive at optimum solution.Experience in software integration tasks in distributed development scenario.Familiarity with ONIE and Sonic OS - build framework, build optimization and related activities.Familiarity with merging, branching code.Familiarity with Secure Boot, TLS, FIPS-140 and other security-oriented software.Source code control systems such as GIT, Perforce or SubversionWorking on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.Working with different teams to ensure that development follows established processes.

What would be useful

It would be useful and advantageous for the candidate to have experience in or knowledge of:

Working with open-source software infrastructure componentsEmbedded Systems Software DevelopmentFamiliarity with Networking Concepts like switching and routing.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field or on the job-related experienceAnalytical mindset and good problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detailCollaborate in a friendly, energetic, cross-functional, and open environment.
