Responsibilities

The Senior Product Manager for Robotics will work cross-functionally to guide products from idea to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. The Senior Product Manager will leverage market knowledge and strong relationships in the company with sales, engineering, marketing, finance, manufacturing, and user experience to develop products that keep customer needs met. Your vision for the future of small Instruments will lead the way for the Hamilton team to maintain market leadership and maximize the ability of scientists to pursue their research. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Be an expert on markets, competition, and the user requirements for small Instrument products.Write clear and concise product requirements that will drive innovation at Hamilton, including goals and key features for new products and features.Launch products and features by working across departments at Hamilton to provide vision, actionable timelines, and plans for communications, budget, and distribution. Develop pricing and manufacturing forecast based on market knowledge, production costs, and anticipated demand.Maintain life cycle for each small device to ensure market adoption, profitability, and user happiness.Responsible for the financial health of the product line including revenue growth, gross margin, and design implications connected to product cost structures.Create and deliver formal presentations to customers and internal stakeholders for a broad range of topics to champion Hamilton small Instruments.Support near and long-term strategic planning alongside the leadership team.Work with the leadership team to build out portfolio roadmap and priorities.Ensure assigned products are responsive to market needs, driving continuous improvements where needed to maintain and/or improve market penetration and share position.Develop and present compelling training materials for sales teams, technical support, and field application scientists and key customer inquiries in a proactive manner.Continue professional and technical education, attending workshops, seminars, etc.Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Current understanding of industry trends in laboratory equipment applications and needs.Deep understanding of the scientific testing process, either through hands-on experience, education, or past sales experience.Technical experience with laboratory automation is strongly desired.Demonstrated ability to lead through influence.Demonstrated success with identifying market opportunities and speaking to competitive differentiators.Demonstrated success with launching new products or features, including development of a product vision, go-to-market strategy, and design.Results and proactive solution driven, the ability to think critically to overcome potential business hurdles to complete tasks.Knowledge of multiple areas of business: product management, engineering, design, sales, finance, marketing, or customer support.Expertise in communicating with design and engineering teams.Comfortable with ambiguity as this role will evolve based on strategy and market needs.Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% both domestically and internationally, as required, including attending tradeshows, sales meetings, and other activities to support customers and revenue growth.

Education/Experience

Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field, from an accredited university or institution.MBA or Ph.D. in a science equivalent preferred.Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in a science laboratory setting using laboratory instrumentation and other wet chemistry laboratory equipment preferred.Minimum of seven (7) years of product management experience is preferred.Experience supervising a team preferred.

Additional Information

Mid Salary

USD $158,500.00/Yr.
