ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The position's essential duties include the following:

Provide support for the following Andrews Federal Credit Union products and services: IRA Plan Maintenance, Certificate Maintenance, IRS Reporting, Dividend Adjustment, Death/Disability Claims, Levies & Garnishments, Overdrawn Accounts, Account Closeouts and ChexSystems.Respond to member or client inquiries/problems as they relate to death or disability claims, Levies, Garnishments, IRA & Certificates, closed accounts, and negative balances.Ensure timely processing of all incoming correspondence, requests for research, and process withdrawal as necessary within established deadlines.Conduct research on member accounts as necessary.Interact with members/joint-members/beneficiaries/executors/ attorneys with complex member service problems concerning Levies, Garnishments, IRA's and/or Certificate's, member estates, and account closeoutsIdentify accounts subject to write-off and compiles data for the preparation of Charge Off list for NSF, ATM, and ACH losses, and fees monthly.Maintain inventory controls for the Overdraft Report/download.Maintains production tracking reports/logs.Establish and maintain complete document files.Notify appropriate internal areas to ensure that proper payrolls are returned to finance.Ensure claims are received and are applied properly in a timely manner.Edit reports and process RMD Periodic Payments monthly.Maintain master IRA file for member accounts.Prepare master IRA file for members over 70 ½ years, calculates annual distributions, and mails all correspondence as necessary.Perform periodic compliance auditing of plan files.Report tax withholding information to the IRS.Assist management in yearend processing, balancing, and IRS reporting.Process all incoming correspondence and completes investigations within established time period.Process special assignments as directed within established deadlines.Balance work at end of each day.Remains cognizant of and adheres to Andrews Federal policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.Perform other clerical and administrative duties as required in order to assist in departmental functions and activities.Attends work regularly, limits tardiness and absences according to personnel policies regarding leave usage.Interacts with co-works, supervisors, members, and outside contacts in an appropriate, professional manner which projects a positive image of the department and Andrews Federal Credit Union.Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.Requires at least one year of financial experience, preferably in a financial institution.Must have working knowledge of various office equipment, including typewriter, 10 key calculator, computer terminal with windows environment and multi-line telephone.Requires excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
