SUMMARY
Primarily responsible for picking up chemicals from the distribution location and deliver them to the Imperative yard, satellite yards, frac sites, and customer leases. Verifies order details, records pick up information, and obtains proper signatures on paperwork as needed for accurate tracking. Safely operate a diesel, 1-ton pickup / gooseneck combo, multi-geared bobtail truck/pup and/or tractor- trailer combination vehicle over heavily congested city highways, rolling hills, and rural roads. Responsible for pre and post trips for all vehicles used to deliver chemicals to customers locations or satellite yards.
JOB DUTIES:Safely operate vehicles to include (not limited to) delivery trucks, tank trailers/ ISO, over-the-road trucksStrap down totes on trailers to ensure daily runs meet company delivery requirementsUnload totes with a forklift or pump from totes as neededEnsure empty containers are loaded and strapped down appropriately to return them to the yardAlways maintain truck and equipment in a safe and operable condition by performing daily and periodic mechanical and safety inspections both pre and post tripMust operate in accordance with DOT regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materials in accordance with homeland security requirements and guidelinesMaintain driver's hours of service by using the GeoTab drive appObtain shipping papers each time a load leaves a location whether it be from the local yard, satellite yard, customer lease or frac locationFollow all company policies and proceduresWork closely with logistics team ensuring all field or satellite yards are meeting requirementsRequired to wear appropriate PPE in accordance with company policyRecognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environmentOccasionally perform delivery duties that require an overnight stay due to driver time expirationOther duties may be assignedThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE:
Minimum high school graduate or GEDMust have a current Class A CDL with Hazmat & Tanker endorsementsOne year of commercial driving experienceCompliant with Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations and DOT regulations for the past 3 yearsAcceptable motor vehicle record for the past 3 yearsMust be able to lift and carry a minimum of 75 poundsPREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Experience with the operation of forklifts, drum dollies, chemical pumps, hoses, meters, and gaugesExperience with handling products in various types of packages including bulk, drums, totes and ISO tanksAble to back straight trucks, semi-trucks, and trailers into narrow passages in various environments
