Description

Amano McGann, Inc. (AMI) has an opening for a Quality Assurance Engineer in Roseville, Minnesota. This important position involves being a key member of the engineering team, ensuring quality of software, firmware for new and existing features for parking devices, payment solutions and garage and reporting applications. The applicant is self-motivated and self-empowered while working independently and in collaboration with a team. This position will work directly with product owners to understand product concepts, release goals and critical user flows to ensure quality coverage. This position is also responsible for setup and maintenance of testing labs and environments.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of Quality Assurance, from identifying scope and scenarios, executing end-to-end testing, and documenting results.Building out and setting up QA environments, equipment, software, and hardware devices. This will involve discrete wiring, networking, and some mechanical assembly.Quickly become adept at company products and acquire domain knowledge for all of the products over time.Routinely measure and report on the health of each product.Create, execute, and maintain test cases in test the management tool.Analyze test results and manage defects.Reproduce and clearly document all issues found during verification and validation.Participate in grooming and sprint planning to fill out requirements and acceptance criteria.Conduct root-cause analysis for critical defects released to our customers or as needed to improve processes.Participate in the triage process, reproduce field issues, and provide feedback.Security testing (Qualys, SSF, PADSS, SOC2) Regression testingUI testing (UX, happy path, negative tests)Other related duties as needed.Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred, or equivalent technical work experience.Certification in one or more, but not limited to:

Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST)Certified Manager of Software Quality (CMSQ)Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)Certified Software Testing Engineer (CSTE)International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB)

5+ years of QA experience.Proven knowledge of different phases of the SDLC, Project and Testing Methodologies (Agile, DevOps, Scrum, Waterfall, CICD).Proficiency using software testing and evaluation tools: Jira, Zephyr, Confluence, Postman, Syslog Watcher.Operating systems (Linux, Mac, Windows, Android, iOS).Programming / programming languages (C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, etc.)Strong analytical and problem-solving and documentation skills.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Must have an innovative outlook and a desire to seek new and more effective ways of testing.Highly organized, self-directed, and accountable to commitmentsExperience testing SQL databases and API testing tools.Working knowledge Loading and Rebuilding PC’s and VM’s and using environments in VMWare and on prem. computers.Hands-on lab set up, Wiring, assembly, and reconfiguration. (electronics, mechanical).Cross-browser / cross-platform functional testing.
