The Hospital Liaison is responsible for growing census at their assigned communities. As a member of the Marketing and Admissions team, the hospital liaison will work closely with hospital discharge planners, physicians, social workers, case managers, and other key entities. The Hospital Liaison will develop and maintain new and currently relationships with referring hospitals as well as key medical personnel. The position requires travel to Central and Northeast Ohio regions including Tuscarawas, Stark, Summit and Cuyahoga Counties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Build sales relationships by daily interactions with physicians and discharge planners at hospitals to ensure referral/admissionsDeveloping working relationships within the health care communityWorks in conjunction with community on quarterly marketing plansMaintain sales territory in order to meet census goals. Must be comfortable with sales techniques such as cold calling and contact planningPerform pre-admission assessments of the clinical status of patient referrals and evaluation of patient needsWorks in conjunction with Admissions Director on updating referrals, IRM, pre authorizations when needed, as well as payer informationServe as an educational resource for patients, families, hospitals and healthcare professionalsActively assist the referring and accepting institutions in addressing requirements of specific patientsWeekly and monthly sales reporting as directedUnderstands and communicates critical and/or strategic changes to hospital functions, relationships, programs, and other growth opportunitiesRequirements:
RN or LPN Preferred1 -3 years experience preferredComfortable with sales techniquesMust be able to travel 75% of the time on day trips to multiple hospitals in the areaMust have excellent communication and presentation skillsMust have knowledge and understanding of Medicare/Medicaid and Private Insurance benefitsMust possess skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookFull-time and occasional weekend workAt Capital Health Care Network, our company culture is built on the following seven essential skills of teamwork:
