Our client is looking for an
Automation Controls Programmer
who is a PLC/HMI Programmer to join the team in St Paul, MN.
Job Summary:
This role is responsible for developing and implementing software applications in the automation and controls market. The focus will primarily be on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI’s) for the municipal water and wastewater industry.
Job Description:
Create and implement effective PLC and HMI programming solutions by writing PLC code, and developing HMI graphics.
Work with networking and telemetry systems.
Facilitate remote access for control systems.
Provide troubleshooting support to our customers.
Work on projects and demand services related to control panels, instrumentation, motor control centers, and performing custom modifications to existing control systems.
Collaborate within a supportive team environment, ensuring assistance is available when needed.
This role entails providing on-site support to our customers, involving approximately 75% daytime travel within the Minnesota Territory and 20% overnight travel within the Midwest.
Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications include a 2-year degree in Automation Technology and 1-2 years of relevant experience.
Strong proficiency in programming Allen Bradley PLC’s and HMI’s.
Experience with the Allen-Bradley Logix PLC platform, PanelView, and Wonderware HMI programming is essential.
As a self-motivated individual, excellent time management and communication skills are a must.
