Project Manager - Zscaler Implementation

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented cybersecurity professional to support our Department of State client. The candidate will support Zscaler implementation and transition from on-prem to hybrid model.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Lead the Zscaler project:

Plan, execute, and oversee the deployment of Zscaler within a government environment, facilitating the transition from on-premises to a hybrid cloud security model.

Baseline performance:

Establish and track performance metrics for target pilot locations to provide a benchmark for comparison and evaluation against Zscaler's capabilities.

Zscaler implementation:

Collaborate with technical and development teams to establish and configure a fully functional Zscaler tenant, ensuring compliance with government security standards.

Deployment management:

Oversee the deployment of PSEs to regional locations and Zscaler App connector servers to DMZ and regional sites as needed, ensuring optimal security configuration.

Performance testing:

Design and execute performance tests at the pilot locations to assess the efficacy of the Zscaler implementation.

Reporting and recommendations

Analyze test results, compliance data, and project progress. Prepare and issue detailed reports, providing actionable recommendations to government stakeholders for expanding Zscaler adoption.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field OR equivalent experience demonstrating expertise in cloud security, cloud-based security broker (CSB) technologies, and project management.

In-depth knowledge of Zscaler technologies (ZIA, ZPA, etc.), cloud security architecture, and Zero Trust principles (aligned with NIST 800-207).

Must be an effective communicator (oral and written), with strong presentation skills.

Have the ability to work professionally and collaboratively with software development teams, vendors, government stakeholders, and diverse groups.

Have well-developed time management, schedule coordination, and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to track and manage project budgets is essential.

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in project management, technical implementation, or consulting roles with a demonstrated focus on Zscaler and cloud-based security solutions.

Experience working with secure software development practices, SecDevOps principles, and government compliance requirements (ideally FISMA, FedRAMP, etc.).

Ability to analyze, evaluate, and provide recommendations on network and security architectures in the context of Zscaler deployment and adherence to government regulations.

Certifications :

Relevant Zscaler or cloud security certifications preferred.

Clearance

Requirement : Active Secret clearance.
