Senior Orbital Analyst
to support a government client.Responsibilities:Ability to perform orbit determination, ephemeris generation, orbital position uncertainty estimates.Generate simulations to validate accuracy of various orbital simulations and orbit determination techniques.Familiarity with Python, Shell Scripting for engineeing support and validation testingContribute to development of new and improved mission capabilities.Engage customers for product demonstrations and analysis products and the ability to effectively communicate results.Communicate complex network solutions to technical and non-technical employees.Perform real time support, troubleshooting and analysis of in-orbit satellite anomalies, providing immediate and relevant problem identification and resolution.Provide support for root cause analysis and investigation of satellite anomalies.Job Requirements
Desired Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Must be a U.S. Citizen.Demonstrated experience with orbit determination and astrodynamics techniques.Familiarity with standard astrodynamics tools including STK/Astrogator and/or Orbit Determination Tool Kit (ODTK), and MATLAB.Trajectory analysis tool experience such as POST, OTIS, Astrogator, or Copernicus.Operations background to include in-depth understanding of satellite operations.Thorough understanding of spacecraft, space operations and ground interfaces.System engineering mindset that allows the person to have a global view of problems and solution sets.Experience with Linux operating system.Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving skills.Good organization, decision making, and verbal and written communication skills.High level of self-initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision.Ability to work effectively in small team settings to solve complex problems.Location:McLean, VA.Prescient Edge is a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) founded as a counterintelligence (CI) and Human Intelligence (HUMINT) company in 2008.
